How to configure and broadcast a livestream during my event ?

Discover how to broadcast livestreams on dedicated screens in your space.
On your backoffice you will have different streaming configurations available :
Input HLS - url of your Livestream
Directly input your HLS url flux in this field.
For example, if you want to broadcast a Vimeo video :
- Click on the video you want to broadcast
- Click on the “settings” button
- Then click on “advanced settings”
- Go to the “distribution” tab and click on “video files links”
- Copy the HLS link and paste it on RLTY
Get RTMP credentials
Use our GO LIVE feature
If you click on the GO Live feature or provide this link with settings required (see below), you will be able to easily broadcast a livestream. You can also share you screen if needed.
- Click on GO LIVE
- Click on settings
- Input Ingest endpoint : fill RTMP server url provided on RLTY
- Input Stream key : fill stream key provided on RLTY
- Once you filled those information, your livestream will be display in the space.
Connect to a 3rd party (Zoom, Teams, OBS, Restream….)
Broadcast Zoom or Teams meeting
Use OBS (screen capture and streaming software)
- Download and install OBS software : https://obsproject.com/fr/download
- Launch OBS Studio on the source system. Choose Settings to open the settings window. Choose Stream to access the streaming settings.
- Complete the fields:
- For Stream Type, choose Custom Streaming Server.
- Input URL : fill RTMP server url provided on RLTY
- Input Stream key : fill stream key provided on RLTY
- Leave the Use authentication box unchecked.
- Choose Apply to save your changes.
Use Restream (multistream tools) - Paid Restream plan only
Restream allows you to stream directly on your browser. You can broadcast your livestream on different platforms in the same time.
- Go to the restream website : https://restream.io/
- Log in to Restream or create an account
- Choose “stream with studio” if you want to broadcast a livestream or “Upload & stream a video file” if you want to broadcast a video
- Once you have selected that, you can “add destination” and more precisely where you want your livestream to be display. You can choose multiple platforms.
- Regarding the RLTY configuration, you will have to choose “custom RTMP”
- RTMP URL : fill RTMP server url provided on RLTY
- Stream key : fill stream key provided on RLTY
- Add channel & Go Live
Note :
- Each space has got a maximum number of livestream you can broadcast. This information is display on the space features, during the event creation process, when you choose the space you want to use.
- When you switch RTMP to HLS, and want to use RTMP, stream key is changing every time you are doing that
